School Uniform
At Arnesby, CE Primary School we believe that it is important that our pupils feel a sense of belonging to our school and by wearing a smart and practical uniform that allows all children, regardless of their backgrounds, to feel equal to their peers, confident in their appearance and ready to learn. It is also important that children represent the school and its values and take pride in their uniform whether in the classroom or engaged in a sporting activity where activity-appropriate clothing is essential.
As part of our aim to reduce, reuse and recycle, we encourage the re-use of good quality second-hand uniform items and facilitate the sharing of these items within the school community and as such we are committed to promoting equality and ensuring that no child is discriminated against due to their religion or belief, economic circumstances or social and cultural background. This uniform policy contains provisions to meet these objectives and has been created with health and safety, value for money and practicality at its heart.
Our school colours are navy, blue & white and the uniform for boys and girls is as follows:
Navy sweatshirt (with logo is preferred)
Navy cardigan (with logo is preferred)
Pale blue/sky blue polo shirt (with logo is preferred)
Navy fleece with logo
Navy reversible jacket (with logo is preferred)
Grey trousers/shorts
Navy or grey socks
Navy trousers
Navy pinafore dress
Navy skirt
Navy/white or sky blue/white checked summer dress
Navy, white or grey tights
Arnesby navy blue book bag or expandable book bag with school logo
Sensible black/blue flat shoes with soft soles and closed-in toes are recommended with a secure fastening – NO boots or open toe sandals. Trainers are for PE/Sport only.
P.E and Games
All children need navy shorts and a plain white round neck T-shirt (with or without the school logo) Navy or black tracksuit and trainers for outdoor games.
For reasons of safety especially in PE, the wearing of jewellery is discouraged. Children may be asked to remove items, which are considered to be dangerous.
Art
All children need an apron, overall or old shirt.
Please remember that all clothing and footwear should be clearly labelled with your child’s name.
