Arnesby Church of England Primary School is supported by a local governing committee, which works closely with the headteacher, members of staff and children to ensure that the school continues to go from strength to strength.
What is the Local Governing Committee?
School governors provide strategic leadership and are a vital link between the school, parents and wider community. The local governing committee supports and challenges the headteacher and the school through regular local governing committee meetings and monitoring visits to the school. The local governing committee is responsible for monitoring the school’s budget and working with the headteacher to balance resources and make sure they are used for the particular needs of the school and the benefit of the children.
The local governing committee meets six times per year. The first meeting of each term has a focus on educational standards, and the second meeting has a focus on other areas of school business, such as finance, health and safety, and premises.
If you are interested in joining the local governing committee, please contact the school office for more information.
