What an amazing day at Leicester Tigers! 🐯🏉
Our visit gave the children a fantastic opportunity to explore the grounds and stadium, learning more about the sport of rugby and the club’s local history, including its beginnings as Leicester Football Club and why it remains such an important part of the city today.
The children loved the full stadium tour:
🏆 holding a trophy with a fascinating story
🚪 visiting the historic changing rooms
🔢 and even taking part in the “higher or lower” shirt-number hanger challenge!
We also took part in structured team‑building sessions, working in house groups to build communication, collaboration, resilience and problem‑solving skills. Activities were thoughtfully adapted to raise awareness of disabilities such as limited mobility, partial or full sight loss, and limb or hand differences, strengthening our focus on inclusion.
Some favourite child quotes from the day:
✨ “It was absolutely brilliant!”
✨ “I enjoyed learning about all the rugby people and how Leicester Tigers started.”
✨ “Everyone can play it even if they are different.”
A huge thank you to Leicester Tigers for an unforgettable experience! 🐯🙌 ... See MoreSee Less
