Arnesby Church of England Primary School
Welcome from the interim Head Teacher, Jacky Avery
Welcome to Arnesby Church of England Primary School.
Arnesby is small in size – but has a big heart. I am privileged to be the interim head until September 2023. As a small school, we benefit from small classes and a family feel that is hard to achieve in a larger school. Everyone knows and cares about everyone else and children have a strong sense of belonging. Staff know and care for the children as though they were their own. There is a genuine concern that every child feels safe, valued and happy in school. Only then can they learn.
We believe our school is a place where every child feels special and loved by God for who they are and we hope that every child leaves us feeling they have something unique and special to offer the world in which they grow up.
The emphasis is on excellence, excitement and challenge. Children are encouraged to become independent, creative learners who also respect and care for others. We welcome and celebrate the sense of being a small community, but also encourage the children to feel part of the wider, more diverse community of Leicestershire so that they can be a real part of building a peaceful future.
We feel that Arnesby is a family that eagerly welcomes new members and quickly makes them feel they belong. It is a place in which children are supported to grow and learn in God’s love, whilst taking responsibility for and ownership of their learning.
