Peace class has Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 working effectively together.
Our Early years Vision:
In our Early Years Foundation Stage, every child shines as a unique individual. We create a nurturing, inclusive environment where curiosity is celebrated, and learning is joyful. Through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences, we empower children to become happy, confident learners who feel valued, respected, and ready to thrive in the wider world.
With a large outdoor space and many activities there are lots of opportunities to experience Reception free-flow learning from inside and outside, to experience the full offer of the Early Years curriculum.
Year 1 enjoy a dedicated curriculum for phonics and mathematics. They are able to share experiences with the rest of KS1 in subjects such as PE, geography and history. Their challenge time after completing their adult led learning is enhanced by using indoor and outdoor learning spaces.
Year 2 enjoy a dedicated curriculum for phonics writing and spelling and mathematics. They have both time and space to learn effectively at separate learning spaces in the class room so that all children benefit from the adult attention that small class sizes allow. Children in year two are the role models for KS1 and EYFS and show our youngest children how much they can and do enjoying learning together.
