Endurance

Endurance Class is a mixed age Upper Key Stage two class from Year 5 and 6.

Endurance Class experience teaching and learning that is age appropriate to their year group, (including End of key Stage assessment SATs) but also have the benefit of working in a mixed age setting in subjects such as History, Geography and Computing to gain broader insights into the content of their learning. The children  have the opportunity to participate in a variety of different curriculum and personal development experiences such as a residential trip held every two years, a class celebration at the end of the year.

Endurance Class are the oldest children in the school (Upper Key Stage 2) and as such they are expected to be excellent role models for their younger peers. They participate in the life of the school as:

  • House Leaders, –  collecting house points and rallying their teams throughout the year
  • Sports leaders running a variety of games during breaktime and lunchtime for the whole school to enjoy
  • Taking the lead role in the School Council and leading the children’s Librarians team
  • Taking a leading role in the children’s Faith group
  • Helping younger children during trips and walks around the village and local area

Endurance class live up to their name with tenacious and resilient learners but also have a lot of fun with their learning.
