Term time holidays are intended only for pupils whose parents are unable to take holidays at any other time. Each request will be considered on an individual basis; however, it is the school’s policy NOT to authorise leave for holidays except in the most exceptional circumstances. Applications must be submitted in writing, in advance of the proposed holiday, and supported with the appropriate evidence.
If a family chooses to take a holiday during term time without authorisation, the absences will be recorded as unauthorised. In such cases, the headteacher may request that the Local Authority issues a Penalty Notice. For more information please click here.
